Feel like a rug has been pulled out
My husband told me 2 days ago that he is no longer in love with me. We’ve been together 13 years and married 11. He threw out the word separation and said that he feels we are more of friends and roommates than a married couple. The part that hurt the most was that he said he had been feeling this way for close to 5 years but buried the feeling. Now it’s come to a head. I thought we were building a life together but now he says he wants to move to different states and possibly even a different country. I don’t know where we go from here. He’s agreed to meet with a couples counselor but How do I get through the days before that? I’ve never felt so lost.
recently my husband told me something similar “i don’t love you like i used to” so i get it. i tried to take us back to where we were. we can start to take each other for granted and we get too comfortable w each other. first figure out whether you want this or you are willing to let him go and also what he wants because you can’t discuss this with someone who’s already checked out of your marriage. How you feel in your marriage right now isn’t how you are always going to feel and it isn’t how you felt before. start dating again get to know each other again reflect on your good years together. i’m wishing you the best and i’m here if you need support 💗
