First love broke up with me

F (20) so my ex (20) broke up with me out of the blue 3 weeks ago. We dated for 2 years and went through a lot, but we stayed together & we had no fights leading to this breakup. He's a firefighter & going to paramedics in the fall, so he said he needed time which I understood. Also, he doesn't really have friends or family since they all live out of state so we were extremely close. But not even a week later I find out he's on tinder for "a wedding date." He also has expressed how finances stress him out, but went and got a new motorcycle the other day.. I feel lied to about everything & hurt. Then yesterday he calls me to "check up on me" & we have a normal, nice conversation about what we have been doing. Then I ask if he had thought about us at all and he said no. I only asked this because he's been giving mixed signals like "I'm not saying we won't get back together" & said the call was bc he was missing me & not trying to give me false hope & even told me he couldn't get a date. Im so confused & hurt because every day was getting easier until he called me and left me even more confused. He's my first everything & I'm scared to lose him & I don't want to just throw 2 years away.
