Full of regret
I have been with my girlfriend for 7 years. I have cheated 3 times on her via social media or texting. I never met any of these women only via texting. We recently broke up because I cheated again. I hate that I cheated I hate that I hurt her betrayed her. I blame the cheating on stress but maybe something is just wrong with me. Why do I hurt her? Ruin our relationship our future our family. I don't know if I need professional help or what but I feel broken and lost and wish I could just take it alone back.
I would recommend seeking professional help and taking a look inside yourself to find why you kept hurting her even though she forgave you those two times. Ask yourself a multitude of questions, were you unhappy, unsatisfied, wanting to stay in that relationship for a sense of security and would an open relationship suit you more? Everyone fucks up and hurts people in their life but it’s how we move forward from those events to become better people.
This is NO JUDGEMENT, I just want you to know that. I think this might actually be helpful. I'm in a Facebook group called "I'm toxic and messy but it's FUN 💅😛" that maybe you should join if you use FB. There are a lot of people who have cheated in the past there, currently are, or are planning to, and a lot of threads just cheaters talking about why they've done it, and how they moved forward. The majority of cheaters that I've met have asked themselves the same question as you, "Why do I hurt her?" I think that's a good thing. You clearly have desire to quit, which is important. If financially possible, talking to a professional does generally help too. Btw, I was in a relationship where I was cheated on more times than I can even remember, at least 9 times, so I'm saying this actually without the judgement from the pain I went through. I really now understand that a lot of cheaters don't understand fully why they did what they did, but actually can change for their future. I wish you the best.
I tried to search that group in FB, could not find. I found I'm toxic and messy but it ain't fun
that Doesn’t sound like cheating to me. It sounds like you engaged in inappropriate behavior. That’s it.
Hi,
I tend to think that maybe the person who can best define cheating is the person who has been cheated on. Actually, it sounds obvious to me but I can understand that it might not be for everyone.
Have a nice day
Me too have the same issue, the answer is in you and your partner. It always takes 2 people not only you
@forcefulWriter2541 i can understand this because my partner cheated on me in 7 years relation online multiple times and i can tell you its a cycle as it was for my partner u will do u will regret but u will do again and my partner ended up cheating me physically years later.
my advice will be you evaluate if you are fond of this girl or not and intorspect the reasons which are definitely not stess, fights, lack of communication etc. The reasons have something to do with you your lack of control, your values etc so evaluate you love her or not and most importantly can stay faithful to her or not
and if u really care abt her once u have these answers be clear to her and breakup with her if you think you no longer feel the same. Dont drag her with false promises preparing for a bigger mistake in future
Wow. Maybe one of the most accurate, wise and useful piece of advice I have read since I am on the app! Take care.
