Getting over a breakup?!?
Although my breakup isn't recent, we broke up in January, it has been so difficult for me to get over. All I think about is him and I cannot stand when he doesn't talk to me, it makes me so upset. He moved on within a month after our breakup and it infuriates me. Like I can't even deal, it makes me so angry and upset.
I just want to be happy again, I need to find things to distract me and help me not think about him.. Does anyone have any personal experiences? Or can anybody give suggestions about what helped them?
@ellamae88, Hi, breakups can be tough to deal with, always seems like we lost a part of our soul. But hey, dont worry, you are never alone. Many people at present are going through what yu faced recently. People come and go in our life. Either they hurt us or they cheer us. We just need to find the ones who are worth of our time. The person we love must also love us, otherwise we feel that our love is not being returned, and it becomes painfull for us. I also had a terrible breakup recently. But it showed me a truth of life, you cannot force anyone to love you the way you want. And no matter how much you care, some people just dont care back. Our happiness really depends with whom we are spending time, both physically and/or also mentally. If you try to love youself more, you will start feeling better. Try to love yourself for what you are, what you have done, how you helped others, how much love you can give to someone........etc, feel free to expand this list. Above all God loves you more than ever. These 2 articles below might give you a head start

Also please let go of the past and forget it. Remembering and feeling sad about the past would be like "crying over spilt milk" and wont do any good. And also remember, any breakup is just a temporary loss. There are many people around the world who can keep us happy, and we just need to find only one among them. And if we keep looking without giving up, we will definitely find someone worth our time.

Thank you so much!
@ellamae88 A majority can relate to a break up. We all almost go through it.
I would say that it's best to just look forward and put your old companion in the back of your mind. It's normal to feel the feelings you have. It doesn't make it any less painful but staying strong and moving forward with your head held up is motivational and powerful in itself that you may just feel better from that.
Goodluck!
Hi everybody,
my boyfriend of 9 months broke up with me because he's moving to North Carolina this summer.. I'm having a really difficult time dealing with losing him and we still have small talk everyday but I think that hurts just as much knowing I'm going to lose him. I've been so sad lately and everything seems to remind me of him. We broke up at the beginning of last month..
anybody have any advice?
@Ama2799 Time will heal the heart. Do things that make you happy and take this time to love yourself and treat yourself. I know it's tough now but you will be okay.
