Going through divorce.

I don't know how to even function anymore. I never imagined myself part of the statistic. I am unsure how to go on through a normal day without my husband. How am I supposed to relearn how to sleep without him holding me? How do people do that? How am I supposed to hide my sadness from my daughter? We were supposed to raise her together. Now I feel I don't even know this man anymore and he has created himself to be this enemy that I wish he wasn't. This isn't supposed to happen to me. What now?

I am so sorry that you are going through this. It is devastating, and I know how you feel, as I am going throug it myself. Hugs and kind thoughts coming your way.

One minute, hour, and day at a time is all the advice I can give, as that is all I know how to do myself. It's a hard thing to do.

aslightOwlsaid you take it one minute, hour, day, week, month at a time. My divorce will be final next month and I filed in September. Although the samesituations are still present-sleeping alone, being sad, raising our child-they are not quite as hard to deal with. Overtime you will find ways to cope with them and find ways that work for you. You are grieving and you need to allow yourself time to do that. Which as a parent myself I know how hard it is when you want to protect your child from that. Just remember things will get better, it may take some time but they will. Just dont rush yourself or let anyone else rush you through the process. Accept your feelings and thoughts and try to make the best of all situations.

I understand too. I have up and down days and I have been separated for 2 1/2 years, divorcing next week. The stress, anxiety, and heartache...it is all hard to cope with. One moment at a time...
