Help with Moving On

Hi guys. Has anyone ever either lost their soulmate, or realized who you THOUGHT was your soulmate wasn't? My ex and I broke up about a month and a half ago, and I didn't want to SAY I thought he was my soulmate, but our connection was something special. He's thinking of asking some other ex-girlfriend out again, so I need to give up on him changing his mind and coming back to me... because he even if does, it's not going to be any time soon.

I've been through this before, but I was in full-time therapy at the time through a day treatment program to treat my depression and anxiety, so I had complete and total support. Now I have to do this pretty much alone.

How do you move on from losing your soulmate?

Fortunately I've never handled this, although I have lost a close friend before sad It took awhile to recover, but with time things started to work out. Avoiding contact can help, as it may only spark the memories that you shared with him. Generally focusing on self-care is very helpful. Have these things helped you? On a side note, I've relocated your post to a more suitable place in the forums - to the Relationship Support sub-community
