How do I ask for a closure or try to get him back?

So I used to date my best friend 2 years ago. November 2013 we broke up after being in an official relationship for 3 months. Its been almost 2 years now and i still haven't been able to move on. Why he broke up with me is still fuzzy to me because he changed the story every time I asked him. He didn't really leave with a clear answer. So I feel like a proper closure from him would help me move on with my life. But strangely at the end of all this I still want him back.....so should I ever try and if yes, how?

@NinjaSpirit I once dated a guy and fell in love - hard. I went through a period where we broke up and wanted nothing to do with me. It was difficult. After several YEARS of moping around wanting this guy back and sending him gifts, etc. I finally realized that it was for the best. It's hard to explain because now that it's been 8 years since we have broken up I look back and think it was all for the best, but that's hindsight.

I think that instead of hounding this boy you should move forward. You can't make people want to be with you. He has his reasons. Only you can provide yourself with that closure to heal and to accept that for the time being you two aren't together. And when you look back at this many, many years from now you will understand why it wasn't just for his best but yours as well. Good luck! heart
