How many times do I need to forgive him?
My boyfriend and I started dating when I was 16, weve been dating for around 2 1/2 years, Im 19 and hes 21. Recently I saw that he had been talking to a girl on Snapchat but this isnt the first time Ive caught him doing that in fact Ive lost count, every time he apologizes and says he really loves me and he doesnt know why he does it. Ive tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because were both still young and still maturing but at the same time eveytime he does this it hurts me more and more. I love him more than anything which is why Ive stayed with him everytime. I dont know what I should do because what if he doesnt change and what if he continues doing things like this even when we get older or what if it gets worse and he takes his cheating to a more physical level. Hes promised me everytime that hes going to change but how many times do I need to forgive him before he actually changes? Or should I just break up with him and move on? Ive tried to leave him before but its just so hard because its much easier to forgive someone than to forget someone.
@brightBalloon9248 im in a similar situation hun. Ive been forgiving him for 7 years. The thing about that is, every time I forgive him I love him a little less. So Ive gotten to the point where Im absolutely broken and damaged. Questioning myself & what I could have done to stop him from cheating. Same as you he never did anything physically but sexted with many many people. Always promised to change. Never did. If he does it, he doesnt really care about you. When someone truly loves and cares about another being they cant fathom to hurt them. He wouldnt be talking to anyone else because he has you. If he does it once, hell do it again. And again. And again. Get out while youre still young. Someday youre gonna meet someone that would never do that to you. Whos gonna love you unconditionally & will never go searching for something else because youll be good enough for them.
