Hurting

May 24th, 2017

My guy is telling me that he's leaving tonight, maybe for good. He cheated on me a few times but when I found out he could never say he's sorry. I admit I found out by snooping through his phone, and I felt bad and apologized for it. But he acts as if it's a so what situation, while I'm walking around heartbroken and crying non stop. He blames everything that's going on me, telling me I'm always accusing him of cheating but he's not. But I have screenshots of the msgs saying that he did, more than once. He's leaving because he doesn't know how to deal with what he caused and the stress of me nagging him. IDK what I should do.

P.S. We have 4 children together.

Hey

I'm sorry that you have to face this and I know how difficult it is to just accept the fact he has cheated and deal with the problems as I've been through that situation too about a few months ago. Maybe he decided to leave because he realized he has done terrible things and could never make it up to you, or maybe he just simply doesn't want to face the consequences of his actions, but all of these aren't a good excuse for him to abandon his kids. You should remind him of his duty as a father, and even if he thinks he can just walk away like that, he still is responsible for the children.

I understand that this will be an extremely difficult time for you while you still need to stay strong for the kids. Please don't put all responsibility on your shoulders and pressure yourself or even blame yourself. Seek help if you need to, and of course, try to talk to him about the kids.

Best of luck <3 stay strong and be confident in yourself
