I Cut Ties With The Guy Without Regrets
It’s been 5 months since I last saw him in person. With that much time apart, it only made it easier to get over it. ( I had forgotten him two years ago. We shouldn’t have reunited.) A lot of mishaps where I would try but then go back to saying hi. It was something that he owed me, he needed to make up for things he did but he didn’t because he was not here. I don’t think I am infatuated as I once was.
I think I was just someone there, an option to him but never one he took seriously or cared for. I have a feeling that he will get over this quickly probably already did last night.
So I did waste 5 months texting him. He texted me last night out of nowhere and I cut him off. And I can’t remember the past that well anymore or care for it which I suppose it’s a good thing.
Sorry, you had to go through that. I realized a person is just a person, the way they are. Some are good people, who understand and some can't even react differently or with dignity.
@pebbs123 The most important thing is that you're feeling good dear. So yeah it's definitely a good thing. In general though the fact that someone is pushing away or doesn't want a serious relationship means they have some attachment issues, not that they don't care about you. In any case you should prioritize yourself and your needs as that's the most important. We're all here for you. Thank you for sharing today!
Good for you. Time to move on. How is work going? Are you getting outside to visit parks more now?@pebbs123
@bestVase7265 he stood me up today. I don’t really have much work but I am getting paid. There’s a park nearby that I will like to go to but I haven’t yet. It got chilly here.
He didn't stand you up. He doesn't exist any more in your life. Take him out of your brain and focus on other stuff. @bestVase7265
@bestVase7265 Yeah we ended up hooking up but I'm not sensing he actually likes me. He ignores my texts and leaves me hanging and now that he's in a better city, I think he will hook up with some other girl. I don't like my life right now. I feel out of place in my job and this town has nothing for me.
What kinds of things are you looking to do in the town? Maybe there is more to it than you think. Looking for group activities rather than guys will probably bring you more peace. @pebbs123
@bestVase7265 I am starting to go to this small park nearby for walking. I'm been wanting to give tennis or something similar a try. I guess I should look into that now that my mom isn't so domineering.
Those both sound excellent! What kind of nature can you see at the park?
Do you know of a spot where you might be able to play tennis?@pebbs123
@bestVase7265 It's a park with a pond and I have seen ducks. I will be going every day. I was searching online but these courts seem to be residents in other small towns so there are none available to me. :/ So yeah it's hard to do anything. But I also don't like my work and boss.
Getting out to the park daily to see the ducks will help make the job a little easier. You don't have to keep it forever. Another few months and you can start looking for a better spot. Each job you have you learn something. Sorry about the tennis courts. Maybe there is some racquetball or pickleball somewhere. @pebbs123

Its OK .. it takes time to realize someone isn’t right for you! Sometimes we have to see past our own infatuation to realize the truth about someone, and even then we have to be willing to accept the truth about the situation.
