I just need someone to talk to.

My wife and I have been married for a year and a few months. We have a baby together. We are a lesbian couple. We have been fighting a lot, and now she wants to separate and eventually divorce. Every time we get in an argument, she says that I won’t be able to see my daughter because she’s not biologically mine. She threatens to call the cops on me several times for ridiculous reasons. I have no family besides hers, and they aren’t supportive of me. I don’t have any friends because she always makes comment about me sleeping with them or dating them, so I don’t talk to them anymore. I want to stay in this marriage and both of us go to counseling and be better people, but a part of me wants to leave. I wouldn’t be able to see my daughter though. I also don’t have a job, because my wife won’t get a babysitter to take care of our daughter. We also only have one car. I’m feeling really hopeless at the moment and I just want someone to listen to me. It’s been almost two years of not being able to talk to anyone, and I feel like I’m going crazy.

@Rissram13
I read your post, and I hear what you're going through. You're in a sticky situation, where part of you wants to leave the relationship, but you have ties keeping you in (your daughter). But it seems like you are a very caring and understanding person. I don't know what you should do, but I know you have the skills to get through this and make the right decision.

@Rissram13this is a very difficult situation to be in. I found therapy to be very helpful. Maybe sitting down and seeing why she wants to get divorced, you can come up with an action plan to work things out. Really look at the issues you each have for each other and try to find the underlying feeling. Then you may be able to make progress by working through things based on the underlying feeling.
