In a Short Time
Over 5months ago I met who I thought was the girl of my dreams. We met through friends at the most unexpected time, and by the next day we were already talking and hanging out all day. She liked another guy at the time, and told me to stop talking to her so she could focus on him, but we couldn't help ourselves and she moved on from him and we were dating within the next week. We spent as much time as possible together, learning about eachother and making memories. Falling in love with her was the best time of my life and I could talk about it forever.
In a short 5months, we were talking about spending the rest of our lives together. I wanted to talk about our relationship and maintain our closeness, she didn't like talking about stuff like that and wanted more time apart. I messed up and I kept pushing her, to the point where she couldn't take it. She had had enough, despite everything we'd done she wouldn't give me one chance to show her I could be better, because I would do anything to make her happy. A week ago she broke up with me and even blocked me on all social media and avoids me. I understand it might be how she copes, but after doing so much together I don't understand how she can be so cold.
Even worse, our friends say she's fine and it seems like she's trying to find someone to replace me. I just want to talk but she doesn't even want to talk about me to friends.
I still love her, but idk what to do. In a short 5months, she has destroyed me.
@adventurousStrawberries4669 ... I am sorry to hear about your breakup. Love is a crazy thing. It seems that she wasn't quite ready to have a serious relationship. Though you both talked about being together for the rest of your lives, she must have seen it in the friendship level. The more you talked about the deeper part of the relationship, the more she got freaked out and wanted to avoid the whole thing. The more you pushed the more she avoided till the breakup occurred.
Not everyone finds their 'dream girl' or soul-mate in 5 months. You found yours and it seems she didn't think she was. May I suggest to give her time and space to figure things out. Then contact her once again. Continuing to pursue her to talk to you will only make her keep going further away from you. I understand it hurts and it will hurt but you will need time to heal. Give yourself and her time away and attempt to contact her if you still want after some time.
Good luck
