Infidelity issues
I recently broke up with my partner of 7 years due to infedeliry on my side. It is the biggest regret of my life and I made a huge mistake. I want to understand myself better as to why I did this. Does anyone have some guidance as to self help books for this issue? I want to get my partner back one day.

I have been on the other side of it, multiple times so I can give you that perspective and what has helped me in past relationships with trusting him again.
For you, maybe thing and work through thoughts about why you did it? What do you say is the reason for that? Was it a lack of respecting a boundary? Was there something unresolved with partner? Etc. figure that out.
I think the 5 love languages book is good general info for communication, but I'm sure there are deeper books for individual self help etc.

Thanks for your insight. I know that building trust again will take a long time, but I'm trying to remain hopeful. I do think I need to figure out what I did it, and I'm hoping this site will help some.
