I still love her like crazy

May 10th, 2017

My ex broke up with me about a month ago. We never really fought, and she said that was part of the problem, she had always been in abusive relationships and I didn't treat her that way at all, so she broke things off.

After all of this I can't keep her out of my mind. I would do anything to get her back, I've been giving her plenty of distance and haven't been reaching out to her in the past few weeks, but it feels like this year long relationship where we lived togehter for probably 9 months was thrown away when if we just had the chance to talk things out everything could have been ok. I miss her and love he rso much still, I know she probably isn't coming back but I don't know what to do anymore.

@Bowiefan I know this may sound a bit crazy but I know for a fact that some women like for a man to be firm and assertive. Not necessarily physically abusive but just assertive. It didn't dawn on me until a few weeks ago I met with my best friend (we don't normally keep in touch) to catch up on things and she told me that she was having second thoughts about staying with her husband because he was "too nice" and she needed for him to argue with her or do something to be more firm with her. I really couldn't believe what I was hearing but it is real. I too let go of a guy that was "too nice". To me it was more of a skeptical thing, I've always considered that if something or someone seemed to be "too good to be true" then it probably isn't worth sticking around but that was me, being skeptical and untrustworthy.
