I think it

My boyfriend is in rehab and before he left he wanted to end things. Not because the relationship failed but because he wants to fully commit to his recovery.

I feel selfish because I dont want it over. I keep fighting for my spot in his life. It seems so unfair that he could do this to me. Bring me in to just get rid of me.

I knew what I was getting into dating an addict. I knew who I fell in love with.

Please god let this be worth fighting for.

Let me put this into another perspective: Would you want to date him if he's miserable, and by consequence makes you feel miserable? I'm pretty sure your answer would be no.

The point on dating is for both parties to be mutually happy.

If he's miserable he'll eventually make you miserable too, people influence each other.

If you really love him than let him go.

Honestly , although might be hard for you to hear this, apreciate he was honest with you. He was honest in the sense he would be a crappy partner and would relapse if he didn't fully commit to starting fresh.

Allow him to grow as a person, and allow yourself aswell to grow.

A relationship isn't supposed to be about possession or being unhappy.
