Leaving Her
I have been telling my girlfriend of almost a year and a half that I haven't been happy for the past 2-3 months. I have developed feelings for someone else and even though I haven't acted on them I still feel guilty. I don't want to leave her but at the same time, I do. I love her and appreciate all that she does for me, but it's not the same feelings I had in the beginning. I told her I don't love her the same way that I did and even though she was upset by that, I feel like nothing has changed. I just want to be happy whenever I'm with my partner and always be so angry. It's not fair to her and it's not fair to me. I know what I need to do but it's killing me to think about leaving her. She is my best friend even if we don't work as a couple. I don't want to lose our friendship but I don't know how we're supposed to go from partners back to friends. I feel like once that line is crossed, you can't go back. I just don't know what to do with myself lately.

I think you are right, you can't go back. And at the moment you are not being a true friend to her, either.
So I think you probably are going to split up. You might be friends again in a year or so, but not at present, it rarely works for both.
There is a possibility that its only the character of your love that has changed , and you are merely being distracted by lust for someone else. That would be a tragedy.
