Newly Wed Troubles

My wife and I have been married for coming up on five months. Our official two-year mark of being in a relationship will be in just a few days. We faced small troubles during the first year because of her compulsive lying. She would lie about her sexual experiences in order to appear more experienced or situations that happened to contribute to funny conversation. These types of lies seemed to have reasonable reasons and therefore it was discussed but seems it was never resolved. The first night in our first home together she got caught in a small lie, this lead to hurt feelings and a long discussion on the matter. That discussion led to a confession that she had feelings for someone the first couple months of our relationship and that those feelings died quickly but the suspicions I had were correct about this person. This is obviously led me to a great deal of confusion questioning every little thing from the beginning. It

it does sound like you have lost trust in your wife, which is an awful thing to happen.

Some people do lie habitually, for the sake of their image. They don't see it as being of importance. Perhaps she is like that? Maybe she can convince you that you doesn't lie about anything important to your relationship, but just about things to make her look good.

It sounds very difficult.
