Not coping with breakup
Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone any kind of advice for coping with a break up. This is a very complicated situation and for reasons out of my control things may have to come to an end. I'm struggling with the idea of having seen someone every day practically for the last 2 years to go to nothing.
I have had breakups before but they have been my choice to leave. This is not either of or choices. Just life.
Thanks

Sorry to hear life has different paths set out for you both. It seems like currently you're really hurting from the distance that needs to be created in order to go your separate ways. Sometimes every little connect, text or even hearing their voice makes all the emotions flood through as you get swamped with the feeling of everything you're losing. A good approach may be to go to a small connect (maybe an email or other non-personal interaction) once a month or so to just make sure you have a way to reconnect if life ever changes it's plans for your relationship. That sort of gives you a way to stay in touch without ripping open the wounds at every connect. In the meantime, you're certainly going to miss him but keeping yourself as busy as possible will give you less time to dwell on it.
It may not seem so at the moment, but the pain gets better with time. I hope you're able to come through to the other side soon, all the best.
My boyfriend broke up with me over a week ago and he has really broken me and we work together and I cant see him everyday knowing I mean nothing him anymore and the way we got together is complicated

I'm in a similar situation as you and I'm finding it more didfficult than other breakups because we didn't really want things to end. Sorry I don't really have any advice, but know you're not alone.
