@CheChar97 It sounds like you really love him but you have several reasons to want to break up with him, from fighting to no sex to not feeling emotionally capable of supporting him as much as you want to, so if you do choose to break up it wouldn't be over nothing. A relationship is meant to make you happy though and ultimately if you believe that the two of you may be able to be happier and healthier apart, then you'd be justified in choosing to break up. Very few people completely stop loving their partner the minute they break up, lingering feelings are always present.

What you can also do is choose to take a break and see how you feel about your newfound freedom while you're single. Youre young and you have many opportunities ahead of you. There's always more potential love to look forward to in life and more to learn.

I hope whatever you choose, you give yourself credit for being so thoughtful about the situation. You sound like a mature, intelligent person and I can see why you'd rather be single than be a bad girlfriend because its important to learn to handle ones own issues before losing oneself in a relationship... You'll be okay and you'll be happy again. I think trusting your intuition is valid.

Who knows, the future is uncertain. You might get back together later when you are healthier. What matters is that you trust yourself to do what you feel is best.
