Relationship difficulty post divorce

I've been divorced 3 years and have been dating a man I knew from college for 2.5 now. He was recently divorced, as well, and we really helped each other through a difficult time. We have so much in common and have had some wonderful times and memories. However, I've caught him being dishonest on several occasions. It causes a lot of stress in our lives and the lives of our children. We do not have relationships with each other's kids but they see the ups and the downs - they're determination is dislike because of hurt he has caused. He is now taking the steps to seek help and counceling to address his behaviors. I can't decide if it's worth continuing on or not.
