Said our goodbye :(
So, I met up with my ex last night to pick up my stuff after 5 months. It wasn’t anything like I expected.
I was there, he gave me a hug and asked how I was. I replied “I’m good, how are you?” He told me he was okay.
I doubted him for a second, because he said it very hesitant. Or, I was hoping it was hesitant. I don’t know.
He had the stuff ready for me, so I just got it; and made my way out the hallway. We hugged one last time and he just held me tight and held my hair & scratched my back you know? We hugged for a minute, and then he let go. I said goodbye, and that’s it.
I’ve been crying non stop, and I feel like it’s going worse again. I don’t know what to do, this breaks my heart. I never wanted to lose this guy.
@raspberryDay6508 Hi Day, how are you doing? I'm so sorry you are going through this. 😞 Breakups are so hard and I'm sure it wasn't easy getting your stuff and seeing him again after 5 months. I bet it was like reopening a wound. It seems like the breakup wasn't malicious and you guys ended it on fairly good terms. Is there any chance you guys could maybe get back together in the future and it's just not the right time? I think there's something to be said about "right person, wrong time." You both seem like compassionate and wonderful people and I hope you both get everything you want in life. Please be kind to yourself during this time of healing and do things that make you happy 💜 We are here to support you.
Sorry you’re going through a difficult time! Crying is good though … let it all out! It’s OK to feel lost, and lonely, and confused after a breakup, especially if you had high hopes for the relationship and it doesn’t work out the way you wanted!

@raspberryDay6508 That is a tough situation, but you got this. Although it seems like an ending to something that may have been so good, but it sounds like it was a sweet goodbye, and you just have to keep an open mind to change and new opportunities. Take time to heal and grow, but keep going 💪
