So i have just found out that not only do i have to see my ex who is thr best man at our friends wedding this summer, but he is bringing his new girlfriend who is the girl he cheated on me with. It was a very messy breakup (I've posted before about it) and even though we have cleared the air a bit, i do not talk to him now and haven't seen him since he left me. I have had a real rough ride of it, been in and out of depression and now things are finally starting to get better, but knowing that I have to see them both is bringing on a lot of anxiety.i am not a bitchy awkward person, but him and this girl have caused me so much pain and tortured me for months before he finally broke up with me after 6 years together. I was completely devoted to him and he just replaced me with some girl from work. I am maid of honour at this wedding so am not bringing anyone as I'm guna be hella busy for my friend, as well as not having anyone to bring as I am still not over my ex. He doesn't speak to our friends anymore and has barely seen the groom, his gf hasn't met anyone.why is he bringing her and how am I guna get through this day.any tips would be much appreciated.

@Nemo23

Seems a very hard situation emotionally.

Well remember you're there to support your friend, so don't give those two the time of day.

Smile if you need to but just focous on making sure your friend's weddings goes nicely since is their special day, and try to talk to other guests and enjoy the party! Don't let those two bring you down :)

@Nemo23

Best way to do it is smile. You might not even feel like smiling but you'll come out as the better person. Show them you're much better now and you're not about having those two hurting you any longer.

@Booklover95 yeh kill them with kindness and then hit the dance floor :) maybe not drinking as I'm a bit of an emotional drunk and things could get messy
