Seeing my ex again
I've seen my ex twice in the past month after not seeing her for a year since the final breakup (there were numerous attempts). Many of the memories returned and she's mutual friends with several of my friends but I can't hang out with her intentionally which makes me frustrated and jealous. Also, she's in a much different spot than I am and I hate that we can't hang out again. Not sure what my feelings are still tied to.
@Mejdoob In my experience, seeing an ex can stir up both memories and the emotions that go with those memories. Talking to someone about it afterwards may help you sort out those feelings and find some ways to feel more positive the next time you are both in the same place at the same time. While it's part of life when you live in the same community or continue to share some of the same social circles, it certainly doesn't make it any easier!
