My ex just broke up with me. I don't think i am overly sad about it, we weren't together for long even though we have been really good friends. During our really short relationship (four months) he broke with me two times, and cried and apologized the next day. He told me once that he didn't want me to talk to him about my depression, that i was too much for him. I stayed with him because i like my habit and it broke ly heart to turn a page... so when he recently broke up, just after our midterm, i was completely wasted and he just told me he didn't want to be with me anymore. The next day he cried... and he said that he was shamed of me, he found me dumb and didn't know how to react when we were with others people. But he also says that he loves me and that we kind of destroy each other when we are dating so he want to be just real good friends. And i tried. But today he told me that he didn't want to talk as much because we weren't in th same relationship so we shouldn't talk as much. I guess i need some insight ... i am dumb to want to stay friend with someone that constantly put me down ? I really don't understand his way of thinking...

@kindBunny7088 this is a questioning situation you are in right there. To be honest, if this isn't the first time he has broken up with a girl, then idk what is happening with his ways. The way I see it, he seems to say one thing and then another possibly due to being easily influenced by certain things around him. Maybe he is thinking about the situation he has also placed himself too and what might happen if he stops or continues with it. Though it would be much better that he'd take the tine to organise what he thinks and clarify his actions, I think you won't be able to fully understand his ways. You seem to be getting caught in his mind changing decisions and it's ok. But be careful with being around him because you might get hurt . Sometimes we are attracted to things that are dangerous or bad for us. Just think over it because he doesn't seem trust worthy too. I hope you the best.

@versatileHuman2642 thank you ! Yes i am trying to put a little distance but i am also scarred because when uni starts again i am going to see him everyday. And i am afraid to get caught in this again. I just feel like i am eay too moved by him and that i didn't get any decisions in this relationship (from the beginning to the end). The worst is that he is supposed to be this really good guy... i was his first real gf and i think he really idealized 'relation ship'

@kindBunny7088 I hope with all of my heart that you'll find the solution to the problem of seeing him in uni most days/ everyday. It won't be fun but things will surely change around at one point sooner or later. Your life will change and you'll meet many other people. Keep on with what you do best and keep that spirit up. The future is big and I hope you all the greatest wishes.Good luck 🍀 ;)

@jazmine1986 yeah i am trying. I am more mourning the fact that he was my friends and that we should have stayed like that.

I hope you get better, self harm only help in the moment but it never helps to get better, just wprse after.
