Should you tell your ex

If you had an ex who was deceptive about his intentions on being with you, should you tell him exactly how he has hurt you? He believes I left simply because I stopped having feelings and didn't want to be with him anymore. Had to be ended abruptly, couldn't clarify.

He had spoken quite convincingly of love and wanting to be together long term. But as soon as he got a good job with possibility of extensive travel abroad for work, he stepped back. He started cutting down on communication with me. It was confusing for a few weeks, until I got up and finally decided to rip the cord. Was he always corrupt or did the potential of monetary success make him.

@Multipotentiality

That sounds like it does not feel good.

Usually getting a better job is a good thing. Are you sure about him, or still trying to decide for sure?

Getting a different job with new responsibilities can make a person very busy all of a sudden. Is there other things that caused you to feel odd about the situation? What does corrupt mean in this case?
