Still bleeding...
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
Even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
Quickly I'm learning to love again
All I know is I'mma be ok
― Leona Lewis
Yes we all have lost a battle in love once or maybe twice but its amazing how a lot of people have the strength to move on and fight back once and twice. We are not different from anybody who survived. The memories that we cherish and now they are our pain and the thing that we used to strive for once we wake up in morning is gone. We have the right to be happy and loved again because we deserve it.
The best steps in overcoming a breakup is (by understanding our needs)
1. Determine your next goal and find something you can strive for again (self-actualizing/ self-fulfillment)
2. Work on your positivity by having surrounding friend or watching TV comedy or read about people who been in the same experience as yours and fill the gap of the urge to be loved and belonged by friends and family (Loved and belonged)
3. Understand who you are and point out your weaknesses and strength, build a confidence fence that nobody can tear down (self-esteem)
While there is life there is hope…
To be loved again…
Thanks for such an inspirational post. I know deep down she wasn't right for me, even though my heart tries to trick me. We seemed to click on everything but she has some major issues that meant we were never gonna work. Even though she's with someone else now it still kills me. For some reason my hearts still in love with her even though I shouldn't be. I'm trying to keep positive but it's hard at times. I wish I could just fast forward to when I've moved on and stop thinking about her. The worst thing is thinking what I could have done differently even though realistically there's nothing I can do now. Just wish my brain didn't create this perfect version of her that I want even though she was far from that
Agree that it was an inspirational post! Can understand how you want to fast forward this @Ross71. Your head may be telling you that it wasn't ever going to work, but your heart's still in love as you say.So it is a matter of time and allowing your self to grieve for the loss of the relationship.Take good care of your self. We are here in support.
@rozie thanks so much. Honestly you have no idea how much this app has helped. Talking to some amazing people that are keeping my spirits up. I basically only started dealing with the breakup 2 weeks ago when she told me about the new guy and can feel myself getting better. I had kept hoping for reconciliation before that and was probably the worst thing I could have done. I thought I knew her, loved her. Helped her through so much, and she just threw it back in my face by lying and leading me on. This is why I know I'm better off without, but hard to think ill meet someone that will stack up, just wish I could fast forward to that point too. It's nice to have support and know I'm not alone though
Me and this guy were friends we got together and it didn't work out I hate that I got so emotionally invested and he didn't.
