Struggling with being blocked
My ex girlfriend broke up almost 3 months ago now. She said she thought it would be better for both of us to stop the contact completely as anything else wouldn't be healthy for either of us.
I tried respecting this as much as I could but after 3 weeks I sent her a text asking how she was doing and if it was ok for me to ask. She didn't reply and later that day blocked me.
I've been struggling a lot not being able to talk to her, I have a lot of unanswered questions that I'd want to clarify and it feels I'm unable to move on properly with my life without having tried at least to get in touch again with her. She's also a really good person that I deeply care about, and not having her in my life, even as a friend, is really saddening me.
Over the past three months I've been working a lot on myself to be better and feel better, but I can't stop hoping every day that should would unblock me and reach out. This week has been particularly hard for me, I talked with my therapist on Monday and felt really sad after the session, and this sadness didn't go away since.
I've written down an email that I want to send to her (it's the only way I have left to contact her), I'm very afraid of it because I'm pretty sure it could backfire and worsen things, even though my only intentions here is to try to have the dialog reopened.
I'm not planning on sending the email now, I want to at least wait for my next therapy session in case I could be discouraged from sending it, but I really feel the need to send it, probably because I'm convincing myself it could work and she'd talk to me again.
It's been weighting on me a lot lately and I don't really know how to deal with it. Does anyone have any advices/opinions on how to deal with being blocked?
@daaXa If she blocked you then it means you have to move on to bigger and better things even it means not having her in your life she is an ex for a reason i think contacting her could lead to more drama.
@sallyanne1994568 There wasn't any drama, I know she did this for her sake and mine, she has issues too and needed to focus on her mental health to feel better, this is why I've been really careful not to try and reach out too early.
She's just been a really important part of my life and I can't really move on and completely erase her like this, especially with so many unanswered questions.
I've felt extremely lonely since the breakup and miss the daily talks with her, she was a friend, I'm not even hoping for her to get back with me, just to talk as a friend.
@daaXa It took time for me to move on so i kinda understand but eventually you will have to
@sallyanne1994568
do you mind me asking why you broke up or the circumstances around it?
@helpfulPond3973 i was graduating before him and it just was best i break up but i started to miss him after a while i tried to get back together but i gave up after that and remanied single then got into a short term relationship online but it was only 3 months.
@daaXa
i think right now it's too painful for her to try to have you around as a friend and that's why she blocked you. If you guys ended on good terms then you don't have to worry that it's your fault. Sometimes people do what's best for them even if they do still care about you or love you. Blocking isn't an easy decision.
