It is not the fact that he's living his life, being happy and in a happy relationship that hurts.

It's the humiliation I've endured over the years, the feeling of having been used. The thought that this person has treated me less than a human being. The fact that He's always on the happy side and I'm always left to deal with the unpleasantness of it all.

But deep down somewhere is a dim light reminding me that my pain is temporary, that this too shall pass, that healing is on it's way, that God knows my pain, that this will only leave me better off.

I cant wait to forget this feeling, when the past will be just that, for the huge wave of healing and happiness and peace.

Where his name will be mentioned or I'll bump into him and there'll be no jabs at my heart or flooding memories of the past. I know with my soul that day is coming. I'll smile at him with true kindness and whatever he feels will be none of my business.

All break ups are painful and I'm sorry you are going through this. Without knowing any more than you have shared here you have done an amazing job of expressing and processing your thoughts so eloquently.

It is not the fact he moved on - appears happy but rather the ' mess' he left behind. Leaving you feeling used and betrayed, leaving you hurt and trying to pick up the pieces - provide explanations to others. You feel he has not just hurt you but left you with all the resposibility of what came after. That would hurt anyone.

You are right these feelings will pass - you are allowed to feel them and ride them like waves until they do.

Take good care of you and thank you for sharing part of your journey with us.
