My fiance of 2 years and 3 months just broke up with me 9 days ago because of an unforseen prison sentence that will last for 21 months and due to some past mistakes that we have had a bit of trouble working through ourselves he's decided that it would be best to end things rather than to sit and worry about what is going on with me out here while he's trapped inside, but I don't want to end our relationship because I'm in love with him and can't imagine not speaking to or seeing him for almost 2 years it's just too much to bare to know that he may just decide in the time he's gone that he doesn't feel like he really loves me anymore by not having any contact for so long and I feel like I don't deserve to be cast out of his life because I have consistently been by his side when nobody else was the last two years, was even homeless with him and having nothing to benefiting each other the ways that we have and I just see that the good heavily outweighs the bad and believe that people can change for the better of thats what they want to really do. I just keep having a hard time convincing him. Please help

I'm sorry to hear that you two will be separated for such a long time. I can't imagine how difficult this sudden change must be for the both of you to go through. Hopefully you two can strong and committed despite the distance from each other.

@Chastady i bet he is scared of what will happen while he is inside, try asking him about his fears? Allow him to talk about what he is going through but prison is heavy and if its county or state pen i bet he is scared, i sure would be.

Maybe after talking about his fears that will assuage them and he won’t kick you out of his life but then again this is a unique situation for you both. Hope it goes well.
