Trying to stay above water

There is a lot that I need to get off of my chest. Let's start off by saying I am a single mother of a wonderful 4yr old girl. She is my whole world. Almost two years ago I fell in love with a man unlike anyone I had ever met. Our relationship and romance was incredible, until we got engaged and moved in together 6 months ago. I loved, still love, this man dearly. I have a Generalized Anxiety Disorder and depression and he accepted me. Above everything else we were BEST friends. We could do anything together! Everything started going downhill when we moved in together. I thought we were still fine. I thought we were making it. I thought we were defying the odds. Two days ago, after cashing out my tax return, I had $3000 sitting on the dresser so that I could put it towards bills and a beach bacation we were planning for the summer. We got in an argument because my anxiety was in full force (over nothing at all in particular). Out of NOWHERE he began berating me and telling me what a miserable person I am, how much he couldnt stand being with me, etc etc. He then got his two guns, loaded them, put one in his waist and one over his shoulder then reached for my money. I jumped up to grab it and he stomped at me. I threw myself back into the chair... it was terrifying and I was in 100% shock. I called the cops and he was arrested, but I am in so much pain. It wasn't until yesterday that I realized he had been planning it, but I still don't know how long.

My heart goes out to you @superlocked as I read what you have been through. Really traumatic for you,and its not surprising you were in total shock. I hope there is someone alongside you in support of you and your daughter. Times like this we need to be supported. And then there will be the loss of the hopes and dreams you had for this relationship. Its a lot...please be gentle with your self and ask for the support you need. We are here for you and please message me if you would like to talk some more. In compassion and comfort for you two,
