Victimized divorce
Hello everyone, this query is not directly about me per say, it's about someone really close to me and I'm just trying to get people's opinion here so I can help him. So divorce happened after 13-14 years. The marriage is really fast, after almost 2 years of dating. The wife kind of changed her attitude just after they got married, they main point here is that they got married mostly because he could help her legalize herself in the country as it was easier. The rest of the years were full of fights and disagreements. The wife always hiding stuff but blaming the guy. He did a stupid thing where he tried to make her jealous by talking about a girl who was after him and the wife claimed she tried to kill herself and there was this other guy who saved her. Whenever she wanted something she always forced it if not she would cry about it until she got it. The guy had to take care of her family financially as well. She also had two sons and he was willingly helping them but she always kept a boundary. She started demanding more and more. She wanted to move houses all the time, always something that she didn't like. She wasn't clear about her earning but willing sometimes forcefully spending his money. Him of course, as he loved her agreed to all. Another weird thing is, she would fight and then leave the house for days and come back with no explanation as if nothing happened. She did that multiple times and noone knew where she would be. She even left him all by himself when they were visiting her country with noone he knew just like that. She was always changing passwords and blaming him when she lost things. Now that they are separated, she wants almost everything, plus the money she spent while being married with interest. Even found out that she was telling lies to his family that he was a crook, womanizer and he was sexually incapable and more. She was also in big disputes with his family. Now she always messages blaming him saying he ruined her life for all those years when she could've been with someone better and who she loved. She keeps claiming that he forced her to marry, he cheated on her or lied which is not true. She is still demanding money and when being said no she goes on a rampage of blaming. We give benefits of doubt that maybe she is not well mentally but it still doesn't make sense. Advise please?
Replying to my own post to add a few things. The guy had a bit of problem that he was not able to save more and he got in even worse situation after he got in a major accident, he left the job he had and then he also starting getting major debts. All while he was in the hospital she never visited him once, the excuse was she didn't know her way around, the hospital was too far and she had to work and take care of the dogs. Then he got a major debt because of a car and then she just left one day without a word.
