he dumped me but dont leave me alone

My ex boyfriend of 6 years left me 3 weeks ago out of the blue but he doesnt leave me alone. Im on no contact and i try to be polite but i would like to understand why he keeps talking tome and requesting to see me but he tells me he doesnt want to come back with me and he doesnt want to confuse me. Our relationship was very nice and healthy and i think this breakup its making it all very toxic. I dont want to be rude and i miss him. I dont know how to deal with this or what to do since im not sure if i want him back.

Maybe my problem is immature im just 22 years old and it was my first and only relationship.
