he said he wasn't ready for a relationship but i miss him
My man told me he wasn't ready for a relationship and I believe I am because I can always tell when I am being lied to. I said okay you change your mind, you know where to find me. It has been almost 2 weeks and I have not spoken to him for 2 reasons; one, I feel like I am to blame even though I probably am not and 2, I do not want to crowd him While he is dealing with personal issues. I miss him terribly. He was the exact kind of guy that I have been searching for for years and did not to think existed; he accepts me for who I am and not many do (I have a physical disability and use a wheelchair), I do not want to scare him away by expressing how heartbroken I am or how I really feel about him right now (I will tell him later just not now) so I plan to just casually say "I've been thinking about you and wanted to see how we were doing?" Does anyone else have any more advice?
PS – keep in mind that I am 36 years old and he is 38

It seemed like you are trying very hard to give him space as well as respecting his feelings and personal issues that he needs to deal with. Maybe he's been through a lot lately and just needs time to clear off his mind, understanding what he really wants. You both at the age where relationship becomes more serious, therefore thinking through it properly beforehand can be very important.
However, expressing how you really feel about him and your feelings toward this entire thing can be extremely important. Maybe try to ask him how it's been going and tell him that you miss him etc. Don't forget to say that you are willing to give him more time and space to deal with his own problems and you will respect his decisions!!
