alright so I am having a little stress atm with my current partner, He is not aware of my emotions on this at the moment..I  feel as though I'm falling out of love with him.. and i've fallen for a mutual friend of ours whom I am close with and today (4/23/24) I helped find her name (She is transgender like I am but male to female while i am female to male) but Rose (is what her name is now) she has been on my mind romantically a lot recently.. and today we both confessed we like each other but we both know I am in a relationship.. and my current partner is the sweetest guy ever I don't want to break his heart... we've been together for 10 months now and I'm just worried on how he'd take it I may be overthinking it but I just don't know what to do..

I'm just worried what do I do?

@NoahAnimates Maybe just be honest with him. If you two talk things out, maybe you can decide on a solution. If things dont go well, relationships dont last forever and ill be here for you

It’s OK. It’s very common that attraction and interest might dissolve or transform into “companionship” over time with relationships! There’s many reasons why it might happen. Maybe as you understand your partner more, you might find them less attractive. Maybe you both put in less effort into the relationship as time progresses and you the love and affection starts to stagnate. Generally, a relationship is a living thing - If you both are not nurturing it constantly and consciously, it will inevitably die.

But that doesn’t always mean you’re SUPPOSED to save it. If you’re considering other partners right now, then maybe it’s time to explore other relationships? There IS a possibility that Rose garnered your interest because you have trans experiences in common; and maybe you’re looking for someone who understands that aspect of you, so that connection might feel more intuitive for you, and appealing at a time where attraction to your partner is fading?

I would suggest a direct conversation about your relationship with your partner though. Usually when we do not explore the whole situation fully with our partners, is when feelings get hurt and we will have more emotional friction and guilt/ resentment to deal with, which only serves to obscure the whole situation more and confuse everyone as to what is the right path. So just be forthright with your current partner about your feelings. Just maybe he feels the same about the dwindling romance and attraction! In any case GUILT is not a reason to stay in a relationship.

You need to be true to yourself! If you think you would genuinely be happier with someone else, or if your current relationship is not meeting your needs, your goals, your desires, then holding onto it is not doing you or your partner any favors.

All the best to you! 💕

I can understand this is an extremely difficult and emotional situation you are navigating. Being attracted to someone else, especially a close friend, while in a committed relationship naturally brings up a lot of confusion, guilt and worry about hurting your current partner. take some time to honestly reflect on the status of your current relationship and what you truly want moving forward. If you've fallen out of love, as painful as it is, your partner deserves to know the truth compassionately.
