Ive been with my fiancé for almost 7 yrs now and we have two kids together. Everything is great and he is a great dad and provider and we are great together. The only problem is that he strays every now and then. Now I know everyone is gonna stop right there and go hey dummy...why are you even with him!? Im so sick of everyone saying that is the answer to the problem. Idk think this post is more of a vent than a question now that Im writing it. Hes addicted to sex....I just feel like Im floundering right now. Now that Ive written this I feel stupid for even writing it cause I know what judgment this post is gonna bring...

@FallenArchangel03 When we love someone we will stay with them even if they set the world on fire. Love is that powerful.

At least you know that it has happened and its something you can work on and see what you can deal with. If you get a chance you can read my forum and maybe your insight can help me.

@passionateSea6213 the problem is it keeps happening. He refuses to stop. Im sick to my stomach and Im tired all the time because its all I can think about. Idk if he even truly loves me the way he says. I just wish I knew what I did to deserve this to keep happening to me.

@FallenArchangel03

Whatever you decide to do, it's important to know that you didn't do anything to deserve being cheated on - once or repeatedly. His actions are only reflective of him and his issues, not you. I understand though why it would make you think it had something to do with you. I'm sorry for your pain hun.

@FallenArchangel03

You are not stupid for accepting him with all his weaknesses within your relationship. From what you've said, you have thought about this and chosen to give higher priority to the things he does get right in life and the relationship. Marriage is quite different to a relationship. A relationship is essentially something partners can work out based upon what makes them happy, or are able to adapt to each other's needs. People usually have asymmetrical needs and relationships can be really flexible as long as both partners want to make it work. Although people might judge your relationship, you are only answerable to yourself and each other. A marriage however, is a social legal binding contract and yes, you're right to reconsider the issue of fidelity. Monogamy happens to be one of the cornerstone promises of a marriage. In fact, in most countries, infidelity alone is sufficient grounds for granting divorce.

While you ponder what's right for your future please do not feel bad about wanting to share your turmoil. I am sorry you're going through this difficult phase and hope things get better soon.

All the best!
