Dating question.

Not sure what thread I should have put this in but here you go.

My question is I have been talking to this guy for a few weeks and we are going to have a second date in a few days. Now to put this in perspective I live in city A he lives in city B our date is in city C. City C is farther away from me (A) than it is for him. He lives about 25 mins away from city C and I live 40 mins away from city C. He said he doesn't mind picking me up but I don't want him to waste gas going the opposite direction then going back towards city C. Should I pick him up instead since he lives closer or should I just let him pick me up?

I hope this wasn't confusing to read. Thank you for your responses. Also, I don't know the guy well enough either. Oh and we are going to city C because that city has better donuts than our cities do.
