Do Men really like Damsels in Distress?
Hi Everyone,
I am wondering if men are hardwired to like Damsels in Distress? Would a man automatically fall for a young woman who seems stressed or can't problem solve and needs his help to come up with solutions. Does that make men feel great and love being around her. I am confused as if he is just being a good person or if somehow he is attracted to her because he can solve her problems and she appreciates him for his help.
She can't help when she is not mentally well and becomes depressed to a degree of danger to herself. He always has helped her and continues even when she no longer works there.
Does he like her or is he just doing what's right?

@ReservedExcitement in my opinion (as a woman): it always depends on the person, it could be that he really love this person (it could be as a friend/family/future partner) and want her to be ok an help her. I don't know how his personality is so can't said if he is interested in her or not. Every person is different.
i hope you can find out the final answer :)
@guitarandacetilcoa. Yup. You are right!!!! Thanks for the help ;)
@guitarandacetilcoa
Thanks, I sure hope I figure this out. I think his is the only one that knew she was thinking of dying, the rest of the co workers didn't know. But I guess anyone will make sure others stay alive. Thanks for your view!
@ReservedExcitement there are a lot possibilities why one person want to help a person in distress. But something that is sure is that this person cares about her, not everyone is so selfless and observant to pay attention about the lives of others and make a move to help , but that's only my opinion
@guitarandacetilcoa
Makes one think. She can't see why her life is valuable and should stay but others can.
@ReservedExcitement that is correct. She does not realize how special she is. She does not realize how much she means to people. She does not realize possibly how much this fella needs her. I hope that he does love her. I hope that he can show her that she is special. I am in love with a girl, she was hurt inside. Kept telling me that i deserved better than her that she wanted me to find someone else. She kept telling me that she wasnt who i thought she was. I knew her closely for 20 years. I know who she is. To this day, i cannot and will not let her go. I won't. She hasnt spoken to me in a year and a half. But everyday, first thing in the morning, i send her a good morning text with a positive quote. Its all i can do at this point. I hope she reads it, maybe makes her feel good. And i feel it keeps us close. So yes, your friends... she doesnt get how important she is to him. I hope he can show her. And maybe i hope u can help him show her. God knows i wished i had help when my stuff was going ok. Sorry for the rant. Just wanted to elaborate.

I hope it works out for you. That is so sweet of you to be there for her. I know a few people going through the same thing as the girl you are speaking of, they want so badly people to reach out to them because it's way to difficult for them to do so, and when others do, they appreciate it, to the moon and back. It doesn't make sense to some people as to how simple tasks can become so difficult. When people experience it for themselves, they will understand, but I perfer them not to understand as it means they have been touched by it. That is just too evil to wish on another human being. I rather suffer and not be understood. It sounds like she must be going through some sort of mental health, maybe depression or anxiety. This life is full if these terrible things.

Caring might be fine but going beyond may not be that good as the guy is taken. She hates using him as her lifeline when all else fails.
@ReservedExcitement. Did not know that part of him being taken so that does change things a lil but not too much. There is still nothing wrong with him reaching out to her to help on a friendship level. Just a different kinda love ya know? She shouldnt feel bad reaching out to him. It seems that society today is full of people who just turn and walk away. But once in a while, we cross paths with someone who does just wanna help. People that have a great sense of honor deep inside. He could have been a paramedic, policeman, fireman, in the military. He just my have the heart of a soldier. Meaning, like me, i will not sit idle as i watch others hurt and fall. I will help them or we will fall together. Thats how i am wired anyhow, so maybe this guy is wired like me?
