I'm 30 yo and never been to a relationship.

I'm ashamed of it, and I feel so bad. I feel lonely too.

@willingApple9700 Hey! There's nothing to be ashamed about. Everyone seeks out companionship and it's not always easy for everyone to open up to someone else and be vulnerable. Being in a relationship is just that- making yourself vulnerable to someone else, putting yourself out there even though you will most likely get hurt. I've found that too many people take for granted the social skills required to do that! That is, to be willing to get hurt, to leave the comfort of being introverted.

But that doesn't mean you're in any less of a person. In fact, there are many lonely people in their late twenties and early thirties who just don't know how to make new friends or venture into online dating. We're all different and while some people learned how to meet new people easily, others are just quieter and shy. If you think you might fall into that latter category, consider making new friends and meeting new people to build up your confidence and face the fear of being rejected, judged, or humiliated. Try to join a club or find other people who have the same interests as you. Then, once you get the hang of social interactions, you can circle back to online dating.

I hope you don't feel discouraged just because other people seem to be at a different stage in life. That loneliness you feel is natural- it's part of the human condition. But it's not incurable and there's so many people in the world you could potentially connect with. Somewhere, someone is feeling lonely and wonders if they will ever meet someone and you might just happen to come along and find them and suddenly your world will be a completely different place. Just don't stop looking before you find them.

I'm 15, and I am in love with my best friend. I love her but I'm afraid to mess things up between us. Furthermore I've never had a relationship that I've felt comfortable being open about to other people. Even about the fact of having one so I'm afraid on many levels of having a relationship especially since my last one ended so badly.
