Help?
I dont even know where to begin. My fiance definitely had some form of depression. He refuses to see it but hes slowly coming around. He has his depressive episodes where hes always negative about himself and telling me I should leave him and move on. Honestly sometimes I debate on it. I love him so much but being around such constant negativity really affects me and my mood.
I'm pretty sure I have ADD or some form of it. I haven't been diagnosed but I'm going to get it looked at some time this year. I dont have depression thankfully, but a lot of the things I do like getting super hyper when I'm happy and making random loud noises and just being overall weird and happy makes him annoyed with me. I also am hard of hearing so when Im being loud sometimes I dont realize how loud it would be for the normal human who can hear lol.
I dont really know what I want help with. Maybe I dont know how to help him when he gets depressed and maybe I dont know how to deal with my own mental issues. Maybe I should take him up on the offer of finding someone else? I dont know. I just want him to understand my point of view as much as I try to understand his.

Hi there! Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing to the Relationship and Friendship support sub-community.
I understand you are feeling confused and stressed on what to do with your husband's undiagnosed depression and how to handle it. Depression can be something very unexpected and can come in many different waves to different people. When times get too tough in situations and new things come into play that come out of blue, it can feel like this isn't what you 'signed up for'. I'm not able to tell you if you should leave your husband or not, that is up to you but if you aren't happy in the relationship anymore, you should talk to your husband about your feelings and concerns. I understand a bunch of emotions are going through your head and I'm sorry you are feeling that way. Depression takes patience and usually all the person wants in the moment is to be loved and showed that you are still there during that time. Depression talks and that may be when your husband has said for you to move on and find someone else.
I've attached a link about supporting a loved one with depression, take a look and I hope you will find ways to support your husband but also take care of yourself along the process..

Thank you for your kind words. That's exactly what it feels like sometimes, that it isnt what I signed up for. But it is! I love him regardless. I will be reading the link you sent. Thank you.
