Do you ever feel to be undecided about how to take a step on something or about how to behave with someone?
Sometimes
* How do you overcome indecision?
Weighing pros and cons, and personal experience with previous decision-making.
* What could help you better on that process?
Making more decisions and learn from those esperiences.
* What are the main key-points that cause you to feel undecided?
Consequences.
* Is there something you are undecided about lately?
Yes, there is. Mainly it concerns my future and that of my family. Hence the major hesitation.
@AiluraBlaze
Hi Ailura, nice to read you! Well, I wonder whether reflecting about things together can help people forming thoughts that can help it. I find it positive, so let's see if we can give some more reflections to it.
You said weighing pros and cons, and personal experience with previous decision-making, do helps you
But when i asked "What could help you better on that process?" you said "Making more decisions and learn from those experiences."
So Ailura, could make sense to think that to learn from an experience means to take a step towards a decision for which the only certitude is to face it, because it will be itself a new experience to learn from? After having weighted pros and cons maybe there could be some unknown aspects that do not need anything else that be faced. Consequences can be guessed till a point, then there is always something we can not guess about.
So maybe having a look also at our fears and see how much they prevent us to move forwards can help.
Now, beside our reflections, I really wish you that things will go well and I am sure you will find the best way to face everything knowing that giving your best is all that is needed and you yet seem to be doing that
@BeyondTheInvisible,
1.I try to have a positive attitude as to the outcome of making a decision,by convincing gmyself I wouldn't know what would happen unless I tried and experienced the result.
2.Looking at.the pros and cons of a situation before making a decision and knowing I have done everything I can to help me overcome my fears.Because I think we feel indecisive because of our fears,for example fear of failure,of being judged,ridiculed etc.We make decisions and choices based on our own knowledge and experience,so .maybe when we feel indecisive,it's due to the fact we doubt we ha e the necessary knowledge or experience to act on.
3.I mentioned in the answer to the previous question - .mainly,I believe, it's fear and insecurity,fear of the unknown ,things like these.
4.Lately I have been having doubts as to whether or not I am on the right path of my personal development,healing process,overcom.ng co-dependecy issues and what else I can do to improve all this.
@intellectualCake2979
Hi Cake!
That's nice, you are really working on that! Facing fears trying to keep in balance things with a positive state of mind sounds like being something good to do!
Someone once told me that: "learn, unlearn and relearn"...well, I think there is something wise in these words, and to apply to this concept it probably would be positive to lessen the fear to fail. Limits are more in our mind: there are very few concrete "just one-chance" facts in life, quite everything can be tried, experienced and faced again.
Keep on going!! ![]()
@BeyondTheInvisible,
Thanks!I appreciate your feedback,it really encourages me that I am actually on the right path when I hear someone sees value in my thoughts,though I know I shouldn't seek for or rely on outside validation if things feel right for me. but still it feels good when you get validated. :) I hope you have a nice weekend and take care!
@BeyondTheInvisible
Do you ever feel to be undecided about how to take a step on something or about how to behave with someone?
-yes, all the time. Due to what I went through I'm afraid to get hurt but also hurting someone else. So sadly I get anxiety about being undecided.
* How do you overcome indecision?
-You just have to face it. Weight the pros and cons and also hang to your own values.
* What could help you better on that process?
-In my case I think keep working on self esteem but also re-learn how to talk to people.
* What are the main key-points that cause you to feel undecided?
-Anxiety, fear of hurting others, fear of being hurt, fear of judgment, fear of someone bashing my values and ideas.
* Is there something you are undecided about lately?
-Yes. Nowdays I'm "batling" what I've been thought about my parents lately and I'm trying to find my way. I know my way is the right one but my brain kicks me to what my parents taught me since it's all I knew until very recently. So being undecided is a super frequent thing, but I'm doing the best I can to cope and move on, becoming a strong person I suppose you can say.
@Booklover95
Hi Booklover!
You can be proud of yourself for trying to overcome your fears too! You are doing well, keep on trying and doing your best, hopefully things will go better step by step!
@Booklover95
I can relate to your answer.. relearn how to talk to people, after you feel like you have been unheard or unseen by near n dear ones for a long time, not vocally or physically but their unintentional ignorance to look at parts which cause inconvenience to their belief system. When you know your way is right and logical but at the same time you don't want to hurt them coz they matter to you in many ways.
I hope you find your way through it.. take care
@BeyondTheInvisible Hello! :)
Do you ever feel to be undecided about how to take a step on something or about how to behave with someone?
Yes, I do.
* How do you overcome indecision?
I try to think of all possible decisions I can make as well as their consequences and/or outcomes in order to make the best decision.
* What could help you better on that process?
What could help me better on this process is time and silence in order to think clearly and come to a decision without being rushed or pressured in any way.
* What are the main key-points that cause you to feel undecided?
The main key-points that cause me to feel undecided are conflicting events/things, positive/negative aspects of the event/thing, and pressure from lack of time and/or from people.
* Is there something you are undecided about lately?
I have been undecided about what to include in my fashion portfolio for school, if and when I should pursue another certificate program at another school, and when I should begin my Master's degree.
@SaimaK
Hi SaimaK !
So time plays an importat role for you: of course not feeling underpressure can help you think better and see more clearly the right path to follow. I really wish you to have time and focus in a calm environment to think about school in order to decide what would be better to do. I am sure you can do it!

@BeyondTheInvisible
Do you ever feel to be undecided about how to take a step on something or about how to behave with someone?
Yes - sometimes it can be hard to read a situation or not know how they will react
* How do you overcome indecision?
Often times I'll try to weigh the pros and cons of possible outcomes and try to choose the best path for the long run even if it may be the harder path or a little out of my comfort zone. If it is for the best then it is worth the extra work.
* What could help you better on that process?
Telling myself that I am choosing the most rational choice for whoever the decision affects and/or myself. I have to remind myself to live in the now and not worry too much about decisions that have been made and instead use those past decisions to help in future ones.
* What are the main key-points that cause you to feel undecided?
Allowing myself too much time to overanalyze along with fear of judgement or negative effects
* Is there something you are undecided about lately?
Yes - I'm unsure if I want to continue with my company or move on even if it might hurt others who work there as they're shorthanded already.
@MiniMarshmallow
Hi there!
Yes it is understandable to also care if our decisions will impact on someone else's life. What counts is for you to weight it well because others will make their decisions too in life, without asking someone's permission, so see how do you want to put yourself in your decisions and if it is good enough for you to just move forward into it!
Best wishes!
Do you ever feel to be undecided about how to take a step on something or about how to behave with someone?
Absolutely, especially the small things like should I take the bus or walk home or should I go out to buy groceries or just make do with what I have. I have indecisions about how to behave with people mostly on a professional basis, like with authority figures like older people, supervisors, or even subordinates in a group setting.
* How do you overcome indecision?
I try not to think about the outcomes and just go with my first instinct if I can think of a beneficial outcome for making that particular decision.
* What could help you better on that process?
I should stop overthinking about all the negative consequences and instead think optimistically. Even if it turns out for the worst, I can draw on my previous experiences and understand that there is only so much I can control in that situation, and I will do my best to minimize the consequences.
* What are the main key-points that cause you to feel undecided?
Well, last time I experienced trauma, I had thought "What could go wrong" without actually considering the dangers as I wasn't doing it for the best reasons. I'm afraid I'll fall into the same abyss again if I try to be optimistic. I have to always weight the pros and cons but unfortunately there are just an unlimited amount of outcomes that can occur.
* Is there something you are undecided about lately?
I was undecided about whether I should quit everything that I have started, back when I wanted to fill up my schedule with things that could help me forget my past pains, and instead focus entirely on making plans for my future. I find that doing those things have motivated me to stay productive at the end of the day, but I just think about how I could have more time to make plans for my future if I quit more of those things.
