If a guy doesn't reply to your text message does that mean he doesn't care?

It really depends. What's the situation?

Not necessarily, it could just be that they may not have seen it yet or haven't had a chance to respond yet, or they may just not have thought a response was necessary and didn't realize you expected one.

If it happens often, it may be worth letting them know how you feel without blaming them or getting angry at them.

Hi there,

There are many reasons why this person has not replied to your message, and I do think as humans we tend to assume the worst and over think these situations.

Perhaps it would be an idea, if you were to message him again and ask if he received you previous message? Your conversation should progress from there.
