Is this normal?

I dont know how to put this into words and pardon my fragments of ideas, i jump around a lot. I really want a relationship. Really badly. I dont crave it sexually. I dont want sex. I just want a friend that I can love. I want a companion. However, I want a specific kind of friend/person. Is that normal? Sorry if it sounds weird
