I have never had a guy tell me im pretty or been attracted to me and it rrly has messed me up. Instead, I have many, many guys tell me how ugly and disgusting they find me. Its so exhausting and miserable for me to hear other girls talk abt how they sweet the guy their talking to is or seeing guys having no problem telling other girls if they find them attractive or not.
It's just makes me wonder whats wrong with me that I have had so many guys treat terribly bc they dont find me attractive and to constantly remind me that im not pretty. I defintionly have some bad body dysmorhia and feel extremely unlovable and gross bc all of this.
It doesn't make me feel better whenever girls tell me im pretty bc 1.)I feel like they're telling what they think i wanna hear or 2.) i have had bad experiences with girls too, but with girls their usually two faced and only say the rude stuff about you behind your back.
Its so exhausting bc I have been dealing with this since I was kid. I used watch tv and see romance and just think how im never going experience any of that. And my state of mind is still the same lol.
Its very difficult for me to love myself when feel like there isnt anything there to love. No clue how to even start not caring abt what men think abt me. Especially when I feel like 99% of them hate me haha.
Thank you for sharing that with us here.
@sadsuccubus thank you for reaching out! I am sorry you are going through this and I understand how this may make you feel depressed and exhausted.
Given your situation, I don't think the case is with you being dependent on male validation but rather you receiving unacceptable demeaning remarks, which, naturally, makes you feel terrible and doubt yourself. This sounds pretty much like bullying and I understand how this may bring you down.
I recommend you check 7Cups Guide on bullying to help you separate your own opinion on yourself from what others may think and understand that you are NOT the cause of this behavior: https://www.7cups.com/bullying/
If you want to talk about this experience, I would love to listen to you and support you however I can. It is a courageous act to address your fears and insecurities.
