Am I exaggerating ?

My partner and I have been dating for almost 3 months now and prior to us making things official we dated for about about 6 months. We both had just got of relationships that we were cheated on in. Her ex cheated and ended up pregnant and no one knows she cheated except the few ppl she confided in, one being me. Since they are both female of course everyone knows they baby is not biologically my partners son, but to save the embarrassment and bashing of her ex they lied to everyone claiming they planned to have their son. They eventually split and had been separated for 3 months when we started dating and my partner was actively involved in their sons life. When I came into the picture things changed and her ex no longer wanted her to be apart of the child’s life which has devastated my partner. She has taken care of both of them despite the disloyalty she received and I commend her for it. My issue is that she still currently pays her exs phone bill despite not being able to see or communicate with the child which was the initial reason she continued to pay the bill when they split! I brought this up to my partner and told her I don’t think it’s right that we’ve been together and dating this long and she still pays her exs phone bill and still isn’t allowed to see her son! Am I exaggerating!? I am not okay with this! I feel she needs to allow her ex to pay her own bill. The conversation did not go well and nothing has changed. Would I be wrong to take a break from our relationship until she is completely done with her ex? I don’t know how to feel but I know I don’t feel right with this….any advice?

@dapperTortoise442 To be honest, I get a feeling that your partner isn't fully over her ex. Her ex cut her out of her baby's life who was conceived by cheating and still your partner continues to pay her phone bill. I don't think this is what a person does if they are completely over their ex; your feelings are totally valid. I don't get why she would go out of her way to pay an ex's phone bill. I agree with your thought that you should take a break because I don't think anything is going to change unless your partner makes that change. What I find really curious is that her ex has the decency to cut off your partner once you entered her life, but your partner continues to be involved and is stubborn about it too. Just a thought. All in all, I hope all things go well and I know your decision will be the best one.
