Are Women getting Approached Less?
Women are you getting approached less by men? Or is this just another over-exaggerated online narrative that only reflects a few women's experience.
@TrippleStar
Personally, I believe such a narrative isn't exaggerated and there are several factors for that.
First is my mostly negative dating experience. My lifetime is too short and precious to be wasted for somebody complaining that a piece of hot apple pie was hot (a true-life story, among many other).
Of course, I have met some fantastic females, too, but they are so hard to find. It is also about my overall shyness and inability to read someone else's minds (I think I can be really blind or confused as for recognising the minor signs of female interest). And I often tend to make friends with women rather than driving into a romantic relationship.
I think it is also about fear for women who are aggressive (what is, unfortunately, more and more common nowadays) or excessive expectations for my looks and bucks (trips to exotic destinations at least twice a year).
Meeting someone nice would certainly be an added value, but I feel quite comfortable, complete and happy alone. Also, at my age everybody is carrying their own stories (children who require attention, deaths, divorces, alcoholic ex husbands...), so that is not easy to manage.
Last but not least, we are living in an equal world, so why women should not approach men? 😊 Waiting for a man to approach first can be some old-fashioned and in some societies regarded patriarchal.
