Because of the pandemic, my bf and i see each other only once a week now so we try to make the most of it... But last time he said i need to lessen being clingy. What should i do?

I think he wants to tell he needs some personal space . I am not sure but if he wants that u need to give him that space . At first have a clear conversation and ask him if he is having any problem with u or not . I think u r deeply attached to him and he should also understand that as well . Sorry if my words seemed interfering
