Break up at 30

I've been in a relationship for 10 years now and havnt been happy for a while. I'm 30 now and ready to move onto marriage and have kids, but my boyfriend isn't. I feel like my life is passing by because I'm waiting on him to be ready. It's been 10yrs, I don't want to keep waiting. And what makes it worse is that there's no spark between us anymore - we're functional together, but there's no infancy. I'm sure this isn't what a relationship should be like. I'm afraid if I don't call it off now, I'm going to regret not doing it later. But I'm 30 now, my time to find someone new is running out. What if I end up alone. I really don't know what to do. :(

Hi i also have a question to everyone. Can people can be happy loving each other like there were 20s? well for me i think when we get older its more liked bond and responsibility than spark. Just my opinion

It depends, as time passes we start getting used to each other. When that happens we tend to not see the little things our partner do for us. If you guys are in a cycle, break that cycle and do something else. Issue is that in this times we tend to focus on ourselves so much than on the needs of our partner. You should take some time and think all the good things that your partner has done for you compared to the bad ones. Being in a relationship is more than sex and just, is being there for you on your worst and best times.

Have you had a conversation about why he is not ready?

Hi! I'm also 30 and have been "ready" for some time now, so I can relate to what you say. It's very scary to feel like you have to wait. However, I think that in a good relationship you shouldn't be scared of bringing up the issue and your needs and desires, and your deep needs would ideally be shared and met. If you realise that this is not the case, I would recommend breaking up, get ready for a possible period of mourning the relationship and trying to spot someone who is on the same page as you. I know it's easier said than done, but a person who is ready to commit may want to marry you in a year! And this guy may not be ready in other 10....
