Me and my ex had been together for 8 months which felt like longer. I was so sure that he was going to be the man I marry. We always had arguments but would make up. Well the last two months of our relationship was the hardest. We were off and on for about three weeks then we finally got back together. Two weeks go by then we get in another argument and he decides to beat me. That night he cried saying how much it hurt him then me and wanted me to seek medical attention because of how bad he had beat me. I goes to hospital next day and when I get out of the hospital I goes to our home and gets all of my belongings and leaves for good. He’s texting me wanting to get back together calling me but I ignores him. Well I goes to police department takes out papers on him. In the meantime I meet this new guy we start hanging and spent Christmas together well Christmas night me, my ex and my new guy gets into a big argument at a store in town. My ex and new guy fights then my ex shoots my new guy. While my new guy was in the hospital his ex girlfriend stayed with him to take care of him, which had made me loose interest in him. I had court with my ex which he didn’t show up and got arrested. But is now out. It’s been a month and a half and I haven’t talked to my ex well I’m starting to miss him and falling into depression. I want to start over with him but I know I’ll lose friends and my family because my parents and family hate him now. Is there anyway that we could work things out? Would I be wrong for going back to my ex with all that’s happened? Thoughts?

Similar thing happened to me, but if your ex is ready to shoot someone I highly recommend you to stay away from him. My ex changed went to therapy and was willing to get better so that he would never hurt me again. Beating you to the point that you need medical help is a big red flag. You might just feel lonely again. But think about yourself. Start love yourself first and see your value. Other men can treat you better and how you deserved to be treated. Good Luck
