Complete silence

I met a guy. We started becoming really serious. He spoke about living together. We really opened up and told eachother things that only a few ppl knew. Then one day only hours before we were supposed to meet he sent a text saying a few things had happened that he needed to deal with and he couldn't tell me what they were. Haven't heard from him since. Does anyone have any clue what happened?
