Does my crush like me? Sorry if its long

I had a crush on this boy called Alex he was a friend of mine when i joined his school. In High School me and Alex were sat next to each other in every class and we always had a good time and laugh. He used to compliment me on my drawings, and sometimes copy my drawings to see how close they were to make me laugh but yes that changed when my new friend Carrie told Alex I liked him and that changed our friendship forever. I knew she told because she told me and i was so mad at her and hated her for it and she refused to fix things with him. Alex told his friends because they cane up to me and kept saying Alex's name and things like do you like him. That was over a year now. But things cleared up for a bit after that but 3 months later Alex called me pretty. I couldnt believe it I was certain he didnt like me because he never asked me out or anything like that. I asked him if he actually meant that and he said yes he did and i was obviously over the moon but later that day he told me it was a joke. i was heartbroken then he said that i am pretty and he wasnt joking but he said i was pretty but he dosent like me. i didnt believe him and was heartbroken. The after that we didnt speak to each other. We got sat next to each other but he was awkward with me like he was never sharing the work and he just kept it to himself. he pretends i dont exist which is really sad his. friends were asking if i liked him and they were basically teasing me because i liked him again. One of his friends Jerry asked me as a joke if i liked him and before i could answer Alex shouted to him "shut up". Suddenly he keeps staring at me and when i catch him he woukdnt look away he always walks towards ne or when he sees me flicks his hair and looks at me and he looks at me before he leaves the classroom or school. Its really cute. Another friend of Alex called Derek told me that Alex likes me in frknt of us both and Alex tried to hide aaway his face and his friends smiled. another friend called Michael was pointing to Alex and saying he likes you. Alex moved his chair to sit right in front of me and before he moved he looked straight at me. He always tries to getin my conversations like i was telling my friend i was going to the doctors and he said he hates the doctors like trying to say anything and he pretebds to push ul on the table and flexes his muscles and looks at me. Jerry was being annoying to me and another friend called Sam told him to stop touching alex's girlfriend. and sam keeps teasing me about alex. I dint know whats going on here please help me its causing me so much stress in my life.
